Just a quick heads up about next weekends Warehouse Dance, brought to you by the good people from Reggae Roast. With Mungo's HiFi at the controls, we shouldn't need to say much more apart from get yourself down there early - its sure to be ramout!
Having recently set up a record label the Reggae Roast boys (big up Exel & Moodie) have just dropped the essential "Willing & Able" by Brother Culture featuring Ghetto Priest. Grab an exclusive 320 below and check for the full package over at Itunes

Get Down, Shake Your ******* Booty
This interview from 1986 is somewhat legendary. Now famously sampled by the likes of Klashnekoff & Caspa, at one point Peter Tosh is asked by the interviewee why his latest EMI release, 'Captured Live', is not being sold in the States. This, of course, prompts Mr Tosh to break it down in his own special way. Needless to say, this is NSFW. Easily offended fi dead, seen?

Playing Games
Plymouths 14th Best DJ (they must have only just discovered electricity down there or something) and all round nice geezer Aldo Vanucci has finally jumped on the reggae mash-up bangwagon after dropping plenty of hip hop/funk/disco monsters on our melons over the years. On his new Party Breaks 12", he serves up 4 dancefloor friendly jams inna JA style. Some of them work better than others (we'll let you be the judge), but for us this one works a treat...Serani's dancehall crossover banger atop Arrested Development...did somebody say rewind?
Cop the 320 below and head over here to grab the vinyl when it drops

Ain't No Half Skanking
Another treat from the mysterious Wah Dubplate label (their One Step Ahead 7" has been flying out this year), this little gem has not left my crate since it landed in my inbox. Plonking Big Daddy Kane's "Raw" on top of the Brentford Allstar's classic "Greedy G", it probably isn't going to change your life, but it is amazing how many of these things still manage to get it wrong! A great take on a seasoned classic - check out the 128 and head over to Juno to pick up the vinyl.

We're sure label and artist are keen to keep the creator under wraps, but check here for some more flavours.

The Benga bus is coming...
Knocked up some time ago, this 12" never saw the light of day due to a rather irate phonecall from Tempa Records. Fairplay really - it was a bit of a pisstake to blag 2 rather big tunes from one rather big artist and slap vocals on top of them. It was even more of a pisstake to create a Danish duo of bootleggers to take credit for it and call them The Benga Boys, but there you go - you live and learn. Anyway, from playing them both out and about they've always had a great response, so here they are in full 320 glory for your downloadable pleasure.

If by any chance you don't know the originals, be sure to head over here to check out more.

Something Special for Halloween?
Yes, it's getting to that time of year again when the freaks come a knocking at your door. Last year myself and man like Jstar were asked to give the up and coming indie pop star Nick Harrison a mash-up make-over using tracks by The Specials (they had just announced a comeback tour and the title of the song should explain why) - anyway, after dabbling with a number of different tunes, we settled on Ghost Town, which seemed to fit perfectly. So, if you're looking for an alternative cut on a classic to keep the ghouls on the floor this weekend, hit the link below...

Yeah Yeah
I had the pleasure of DJing alongside Earl Gateshead and the Trojan Soundsystem MCs Chucky Banton and Superfour lastnight at Barrio Norths 2nd Birthday (the first time since the NICE UP! & Trojan boatparty at Soundwave in Croatia) and have got to say they are the best out there at what they do...nothing but serious positive vibes all night. Check them in action at this years Sunsplash event:
Big shout also to Daddy Ad and Cosmo - our thoughts are with you both. Also, if you're in the area be sure to check out Barrio North for some amazing cocktails, a great atmosphere and some of the finest ladies this side of Rio.

[remixes] frankensteeno / germany
it's time for some super dope remixes! again, they come from a beatmaker out of germany called frankensteeno!"Yo this is Frankensteeno, representing Müllebridge City in the Tri-Country Corn'. I've been making beats for about six or seven years now. I use Musicmaker, Wavelab and sometimes Reason to play a bass or something (shoutout to Skeletor... no expensive shit needed!). These remixes you're about to hear were mostly made between 2004 and 2007 I guess, the Mobb Deep one and McGruff - Exquisite are dated last year and McGruff - Creep is a new beat from august. I'm always lookin for samples that have a nice melody and that shiny feel on 'em, so there ain't no rugged and raw shit on here.
I hope you enjoy my beats, I definitely did while creating them... Feedback's appreciated.
Shoutouts to Georgy Whistler, Terror Volker, DJ Dieter Dirty, DJ Megabrutal, Lyrixxx da Don, MC Tight MC, Ticco, Sone2 and to all those I forgot...
