How we roll...

Our good friends and Bristolian party upstarters the Leisure Allstars have a brand new sigle out this week - they've teamed up silky tounged New York duo Emskee and the Saint AKA The Good People to craft a beautiful slice of latin flavoured summery hip hop.

It's not all cocktails and sun longers though, there's three bass addled bowell bothering remixes courtesy of Mr Benn & Drake Scorpio, Substatic and the Allstars themselves.

All mixes are available digitally and there's also a limited edition 7" which features the Mr Benn and Substatic remixes.

It went straight to number 1 in Junos best selling hip-hop chart, so go see what all the fuss is about here

And here's the Mr Benn & Drake Scorpio mix in all it's glory

Riot Music

Long awaited single from Party Hard man Donae'o on Digital Soundboy. Shy FX's original stripped back mix had the blogs frothing late last year, but this remix from the omnipresent Skream ups the tempo to full armed police, riot vans, smoke bombs and machine gunned helicopter status. Word has it The Nextmen have also done a version. Peep the video here and click below to grab the 320.

[remixes] noyland / germany

okay, i received a mail from this guy called noyland from cologne/köln. he gave me a link to a few remixes he did last year. i checked them out and what happened was amazing. i was frozen in front of my computer for the next two days. i had to find out that i gave up on german rap too early a few years back. with noyland aka noy riches there is a whole record label called entourage with artists such as huss und hodn, stef der crashtest, o-flow, sylabil spill, veedelstar...

almighty google told me they already had over 100 tracks! so guess what i've been listening to the last few days.

unfortunately noyland never replied to my mail. i guess they are on tour. anyway, make sure you check them all out in case you didn't already.

5. big l – flamboyant (noyland remix)
6. house of pain – on point (noyland remix)
7. capone ´n´ noreaga – top of new york (noyland remix)

i'm listening to the pudgee remix every day- but all of them are dope! please check out these two dope videos as well (even if you don't understand german)!

noy riches ft. kurt hustle & stef - drauf geschissen

stef der crashtest - einer für alle

my last words: big up to noyland for getting in touch with me. i can't believe i slept on you guys. i'm a big fan now! please return with similar remixes anytime!

Limber Up

Fresh out the blocks, here's the brand new single from NICE UP! records. A collaboration between myself and Bristol's aggiest diminutive deejay Tony Midget, this one has been tried and tested on the dancefloor and is already getting mad love from Rob Da Bank, Toddla T, Don Letts and the usual suspects. OK, so "Limb By Limb" has been rinsed, but who cares when it's on top of one of the most screwface inducing hip hop beats of all time??

Peep the flipside here:

Ganja

BIG new tune forthcoming from Barry Ashworth's unruly mob, Dub Pistols. Featuring this blog's favourite UK MC Rodney P (for obvious reasons, other than he is still blazin it after all these years!) it's a dancefloor shaking ode to probably one of the most popular past-times in jamaican culture (no, not daggering).

As if the original isn't bumpin enough, there's a whole host of BIG remixes coming too, check here for more details.
